Release Notes v3.6.0.212

As the last petals fall from the hawthorn and warehouses settle into the steady hum of early summer, Helm returns with a release devoted to clarity, precision and the kind of quiet improvements that make a long shift feel a little shorter.

This version sharpens the Packing Terminal, refines several integrations and restores a few finer details across billing and reporting; everything has been tuned so your teams can pack, despatch and account for the day’s work with fewer detours and more confidence.

Sharper Visibility & Smarter Touches On The Packing Terminal

The Packing Terminal has gained a brand-new Time Tracking system. You can now capture and store detailed timing data for every packing operation, giving supervisors a clean, reliable view of how long packs really take and where the day naturally speeds up or slows down. This makes it considerably easier to plan staffing, set realistic targets and spot quiet wins for efficiency, whether you are reviewing yesterday’s shift or preparing for next month’s peak.

Auxiliary Packaging is now properly weighed in with the rest of your parcels. You can select parcels directly in the Packing Terminal and scan auxiliary items straight onto them; those items are then assigned to the chosen parcel and counted accurately in the total shipment weight. So when a packer adds a void-fill bag or an extra protective box to a fragile order, the carrier label and your billing both reflect the true weight: no nasty surprises at the depot, no awkward discrepancies at month-end reconciliation.

On the Verify Products screen, scanning a box barcode now behaves exactly as you would expect. Box scans no longer affect product quantities, so packers can move through verification with the same steady rhythm as the rest of the workflow, confident that each scan does precisely what it should.

Refined Integrations & Billing Precision

The Packeye integration has been upgraded to support the latest Packeye version, with a refreshingly simple set-up. Head to Integrations > Packeye and activate it; the integration configures itself automatically, sparing your team the usual fiddle with settings and saving the IT inbox from a flurry of “how do I…” messages.

Smart Shipping billing now uses the correct shipping service name on shipment charges, rather than the Smart Shipping Group name. This brings billing detail neatly back in line with the actual carrier service used, making invoices easier to read, easier to reconcile against carrier statements and easier to defend if a client ever asks about a specific charge.

You can also now choose which data field is used as the Order ID on return billing charges. Configure your preferred field under Integrations > Client Billing and your returns invoicing will reference the identifier that suits your operation best, whether that is the original sales order, an RMA reference or a custom value. This is particularly handy for clients with their own back-office numbering conventions who need return charges to slot cleanly into existing reporting.

Custom Report Builder, Restored To Full Form

The Custom Report Builder now exports every inventory line on every order, just as it should. When you include order inventory item data in a report, each item is faithfully written to its own row in the export, giving finance, operations and account teams the complete picture they rely on. Whether you are auditing pick accuracy, reconciling client billing or simply looking back at last quarter’s despatches, the numbers will be all there: tidy, complete and ready to interrogate.
