Release Notes v3.6.0.231

High summer is in full swing, and while the warehouse doors stay open for the breeze, Helm has been hard at work behind the scenes. This release is all about trust: trust in your stock figures, trust in your API responses and trust that the tools you rely on every day will behave exactly as expected. There is also something rather exciting for the builders among you — Micro Apps are now open to everyone.

Micro Apps: Now Open To Everyone

We have opened up Micro Apps to all customers, so you can now build your own apps on top of Helm. Whether it is a bespoke dashboard, a purpose-built terminal for a niche workflow or a small utility that saves your team a few clicks a hundred times a day, the platform is yours to build on. We are looking forward to seeing what you create.

A More Dependable Public API

Integrations run best on honest answers, and this release makes the Public API considerably more forthcoming.

The Order Details endpoint now includes order allocation information, giving your systems a clear view of exactly how stock has been allocated against each order without any extra calls or guesswork.

Stock Movement requests now return clear, appropriate error responses whenever there is insufficient stock available, rather than passing quietly by. Your integrations can now detect and handle these cases properly, keeping your stock figures and downstream systems in step.

A note on authentication: JWT token generation has been strengthened. Tokens now expire after a defined Time-to-Live (TTL) and must be refreshed periodically. If any of your integrations rely on long-lived tokens, they will need a small update to refresh tokens as part of their normal flow — a modest change that keeps your connection to Helm secure.

Sharper Safeguards On The Packing Terminal

The Packing Terminal has gained an extra layer of good sense. Additional validation on the Create Shipment button means that rapid, repeated clicks can no longer produce shipments with a weight of zero. Every shipment now leaves the terminal with proper, dependable data — however enthusiastic the clicking.

Horizontal rule

A Smoother, Stronger Neuro Integration

The Neuro integration has received two thoughtful upgrades. Barcode data is now imported directly from the connected sales channel, keeping your product records aligned with the source of truth. The integration workflow itself has also been reworked for improved stability, reliability and security, so data flows between systems with quieter confidence.

Plugin Enhancements To Keep Terminals Flowing

The Multi Pick Pack Terminal now sorts inventory by location first, followed by inventory name. This secondary sorting gives pickers a more consistent, predictable route through the warehouse, so every pick walk feels familiar.

The Pregenerated Labels plugin now supports Requested Packaging, letting your pre-printed labels respect the packaging your orders actually call for.

Horizontal rule

Every change in this release is designed to make Helm a system you can trust without a second thought: APIs that tell you the truth, stock figures that add up and terminals that keep pace with your busiest days — plus a whole new world of Micro Apps to make Helm your own. Thank you for trusting us with your operations; we build every release to keep your business moving beautifully.
