We’ve been busy tuning up Helm and today’s release brings thoughtful improvements across the board

From a sharper UI to smarter pick logic, it’s all about helping you move faster, stay consistent, and feel a little more in control of your day

Smarter Sorting, Less Clicking

We’ve retired the old setting for “Use Sorting/Sorted Statuses for Bulk and Sort Picks”
Now, it’s automatic

• All Bulk and Sort pick orders move straight to Sorting once picked

• These picks can then be sorted using the sort wall in the handheld app - should you wish to manually sort and not sort using the handheld app please select Bulk for your picking method 

• Any order assigned a pre-sort location will also transition to Sorting as soon as it’s picked
  (A little less setup, a lot more flow)

You can assign pre-sort locations via the app or UI - whatever fits best into your operation

Icons, Elevated

We’ve given our icons a refresh - and it shows

All system icons now use the Font Awesome Regular style for a UI that feels cleaner, more refined, and beautifully consistent across every screen

And behind the scenes?
We’re now serving Font Awesome locally (no more relying on third-party CDNs), so your experience stays smooth and snappy - even when the internet’s having a moment

You can now enter rates with two decimal places (e.g., 0.75)

You can now print using our shiny new Chrome Printer Plugin - It’s a smooth alternative to QZ

⚠️ Using QZ? No problem, Helm will disable the Chrome plugin automatically to avoid conflicts

Fixes & Improvements

• Pre-sort locations now clear correctly when an order is cancelled

• Warehouse selection removed from the Back Order by SKU report - it wasn’t needed, so we tidied it away

• Filters now clear properly on export pages - no more needing to refresh the whole thing

• Fulfilment clients now see only their allowed statuses in reports, just as they should

• Inventory exports now correctly respect fulfilment client filtering - less confusion, more clarity

• System maintenance cron job is back on schedule - cleanups and DB tasks now run like clockwork

We’re always working to make Helm a little more delightful every release and a little more you-shaped too
