Release Notes v3.6.0.214

This release is a quiet but purposeful one. As the long evenings of early summer settle in, Helm has been attending to the details: sharpening how stock and packaging data are tracked, bringing the Public API back to its precise best and making sure the Mobile App behaves consistently from screen to screen.

No fanfare required. These are the kinds of improvements that just make the working day feel that little bit more reliable.

Cleaner Records & Smarter Packaging Insights

Stock records updated via Async Purchase Order Delivery now correctly display the name of the person who performed the action. Previously, because the process ran through the queue system, the update was attributed to the system user rather than the actual member of staff. That attribution is now accurate, giving you a proper audit trail and sparing supervisors the mild frustration of wondering who actually did what and when.

A new Packaging Usage Report has been added under Inventory Reports, giving you a clear, detailed view of how your Packaging and Auxiliary Packaging inventories are being consumed across operations. Whether you are keeping an eye on consumable spend, reconciling materials against order volumes or preparing for a re-order conversation with a supplier, the data is now there, organised and ready to use.

A More Dependable Public API

The Public API pagination has been restored to full reliability. The next_page_url and prev_page_url fields now faithfully carry forward any filters and page references you have applied, so navigating through large result sets works exactly as it should. Systems that page through orders, shipments or stock records will now move cleanly from page to page without losing their place or dropping their filters mid-journey.

Order updates that include the email_shipping field can now be processed without issue. The field is handled correctly in all cases, so any integration or workflow that passes shipping email data alongside other order updates will continue without interruption.

For operations using Shopify, a rare edge case that prevented one of a pair of merged orders from being fulfilled has been resolved. Merged orders now proceed through to fulfilment as expected, regardless of changes to Order Inventory at the point of merging. The kind of issue that only shows itself in specific circumstances, but thoroughly unwelcome when it does.

Horizontal rule

Consistent Behaviour Across The Mobile App

Quantity input on the Mobile App now behaves the same way everywhere that Packaging Barcode Scanning is supported. Whether your team is working in Bulk Deliveries Item Lookup, Location Count, Replenishment Jobs, Stock Count or Warehouse Transfer, they will find the same familiar, predictable input behaviour on every screen. Consistency of this kind might not make headlines, but it is exactly what keeps a busy team moving confidently through a shift without having to think twice about how a screen works.

Horizontal rule

Every change in this release is designed to make Helm a little more trustworthy and a little less surprising: the kind of software that does what you expect, shows you what you need and stays out of your way while your team does the real work.

Thank you, as always, for your continued trust and feedback.
