Billing that adds up to the penny, reports that quietly rebuild themselves, and imports that simply do what they say - every change here is designed to make the data flowing through your warehouse more accurate, more dependable and easier to act on.

There are thoughtful touches for the warehouse floor too, from smoother packing to faster despatch notifications, so your teams spend less time waiting and more time moving.

Billing That Adds Up

Weekly storage invoicing has been refined so that cubic-metre storage charges are calculated once, and only once, per day. Charges no longer appear twice for the same day on weekly invoices, so the figures your clients see now reflect exactly the space they used. If you bill for storage, this lands automatically with no configuration needed.

Behind the scenes, the nightly billing operations now run on a sturdier timer. Rather than depending on a single precise moment in the evening, the schedule now recovers gracefully and runs at the first opportunity within its window, so a busy server no longer means a skipped billing run.

Dependable Reporting, Every Day

Stock Value History reports have become self-healing. If a nightly report is ever missed, Helm now rebuilds it automatically from your stock transaction logs, so historic valuations throughout the four-month retention window are there when you need them - particularly welcome when insurers or auditors come asking for figures from a specific date.

Reporting has also gained a frequently requested column: Order Import Date. You will now find it on the Consolidated Orders Report and the Full Orders Report, and it is available as a column in the Report Builder, making it easy to see exactly when each order arrived in Helm.

Imports That Just Work

Purchase Order imports now sail through files where the Delivered Quantity column is empty or contains an unexpected value. Rather than stopping before any rows are processed, Helm treats these values sensibly as zero and completes the import as normal.

Contact imports have grown up considerably. Contact exports now include a Contact ID column, and the importer uses it to update existing contacts directly - which means email and CC addresses can at last be updated by import. Sensible safeguards are included: unknown IDs are reported rather than creating duplicates, and an email address already belonging to another contact is rejected with a clear message. A couple of rough edges in the same area, including a misaligned export column and an error that could stop imports before they began, have been smoothed away too.

Smoother Orders & Faster Despatch News

The Back Order status has been restored to the bulk status-change options on the orders page, so moving hundreds of orders to back order is once again a moment's work rather than an order-by-order chore.

The Packing Terminal now takes orders that arrive without a sale type in its stride. Instead of pausing on a loading screen, Helm applies a sensible default automatically and packing carries on without interruption.

For operations that live and die by timely updates, status change webhooks are now prioritised in the delivery queue. Despatch notifications jump ahead of routine traffic, so the systems and customers waiting on "it's shipped" hear about it promptly, even when the queue is busy.

Stronger Integrations & A Richer Public API

The Amazon Vendor channel can now be set up directly within Helm. The configuration fields are fully available, and integrations are recognised and displayed as expected, so vendor purchase orders can flow through Helm without manual workarounds.

The Public API has gained a new read-only endpoint, GET /purchase_order_delivery/{id}/batch-values, which returns the batches booked in against a purchase order delivery, including batch value, quantity, expiry date and location. Goods-in batch data can now be read back just as easily as despatch-side batches, making batch-level reconciliation with external systems straightforward.

The Right Access For The Right People

Supervisor users can now open installed apps from the left-hand menu without meeting an Access Denied message, so the tools they can see are the tools they can use. Installing new apps remains an administrator-level action, keeping the boundaries exactly where they should be.
